RUMOR: Dragon Age 3 Out Of Pre-Production

None

In an interview with Strategy Informer, BioWare senior writer Jennifer Hepler said perhaps a bit more than intended when asked about her average work day:

“It depends a lot on what stage the project is in. At the moment, we are at the end of pre-production and beginning of production, so I am bouncing between outlining new stories and starting to write dialogue for the larger plots that are already developed.”

We’ve italicized the salient point for you. Whatever Ms. Hepler, the senior writer for the Dragon Age franchise in particular, is working on, it’s almost done with pre-production. Though she has also done work on Star Wars: The Old Republic, which is rolling out new content in the coming months, it’s very possible that she speaks of Dragon Age 3, the as-of-yet unannounced next entry in BioWare’s most recent sword and sorcery epic.

One can only hope that, should Dragon Age 3 actually be in the works, BioWare has taken fan response to the last chapter in the saga to heart, and will provide something that satisfies ardent fans of the first game, who felt spurned by its sequel.
