PAX East 2014 is just around the corner, and now we’ve received new details regarding BioWare’s plans for this year’s event!
According to a recent post on their blog, BioWare looks to make both Mass Effect and Dragon Age their focus. Panels will run all weekend in addition to giving fans a “…behind-the-scenes looks at game development.”
Also, this may prove to be a great networking opportunity for those hoping to make head-way into the business; as they revealed that “…representatives from EA University/Human Resources will be on site to discuss tips about breaking into the gaming industry,” and that if gamers “…have a portfolio of any kind, please bring it as we have set aside time for our developers to review and discuss with you.”
The blog also details the laundry list of BioWare staffers who’ll be on hand, including:
- Andrew Farrell – Senior Artist, Dragon Age
- Cathleen Rootsaert – Writer, Mass Effect
- Conal Pierse – New Media Production Coordinator, Community Team
- David Hulegaard – Community Manager, Community Team
- Dean Roskell – Senior Level Designer, Dragon Age

- James Leung – Senior Tester, Mass Effect

Of course, what would an event such as this be without some cosplay! BioWare reveals they will once again host a cosplay parade, stating “All cosplayers are welcome to join us for an afternoon of fandom with on-the-spot totally made up awards given to each and every cosplayer who comes (as well as physical swag, while supplies last!).”
PAX East 2014 starts this Friday, April 11 th and runs ‘till Sunday, April 13 th .
