Join us as we journey through the series, exploring the unique charm and appetizing gameplay of every Papa’s game.

Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack! (2006)

Platform: Web browsers

Before the restaurant management games took center stage, there was Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack! This platformer introduced players to the Papa’s universe as they embarked on a quest to rescue Papa Louie from the clutches of possessed pizzas. This debut set the stage for the culinary adventures to come and introduced gamers to the series’ beloved characters and quirky world. However, it did not exactly serve as the blueprint for future Papa’s titles, as you’ll soon see.

Papa’s Pizzeria (2007)

Platforms: Web browsers, iOS, Android

The game that followed, Papa’s Pizzeria, set the tone for the future of the series by challenging players to run a bustling pizza shop. It introduced new core gameplay mechanics: taking orders, preparing ingredients, and crafting custom pizzas for customers. The fast-paced gameplay and gradual complexity of orders requires multi-tasking and keeps players engaged for every second. Papa’s Pizzeria laid the groundwork for the entire franchise with its blend of time management and creative customization, although it would be a few years before fans saw another entry.

Papa’s Burgeria (2011)

Platforms: Web browsers, iOS, Android

Papa’s Burgeria grilled its way into the spotlight with a new twist on the restaurant simulation genre. Its 2011 launch also set the pace for a much more frequent release schedule. Here, players take charge of a burger joint, meticulously crafting burgers and sides to customer specifications. This installment introduced grill mechanics, adding a layer of strategy required to get the grill timings just right. The introduction of customer badges and an expanded storyline made it a stand-out entry in the Papa’s game series, pushing players to perfect their grill skills.

Papa’s Taco Mia! (2011)

Platforms: Web browsers, iOS, Android

In Papa’s Taco Mia, the focus shifts south of the border as players must manage Papa’s new taco shop. It introduced the mechanic of building tacos layer by layer, allowing for almost endless customization. The addition of the salsa station and an improved upgrade system further let you spice up your Latin American culinary creations. Taco Mia’s vibrant Mexican-themed setting and engaging gameplay made it an instant hit among fans of the Papa’s games.

Papa’s Freezeria (2011)

Platforms: Web browsers, iOS, Android

In the final release for 2011, Papa’s Freezeria, players operate an ice cream parlor. The game refined the assembly line mechanics of previous games and introduced a blending station for creating various frozen treats for picky customers. The addition of mixes and syrups also brought a new level of complexity to custom orders, making it a refreshing and delightful entry in the series – and perfect for those hot summer days.

Papa’s Pancakeria (2012)

Platforms: Web browsers, iOS, Android

Papa’s Pancakeria flipped the script yet again by allowing players to master the art of breakfast (and making pancakes, to be precise). Players had a chance to satisfy their sweet tooth (or rather, those of their customers) in Papa’s Cupcakeria. This time, players bake and decorate delicious cupcakes, a clear departure from the savory dishes of previous entries. The build station requires precision in placing toppings, while the bake station demands perfect timing so the cupcakes don’t come out under-done or burnt. Cupcakeria was a nice change of pace for fans of the Papa’s games looking to master the art of dessert.

After being hired as a barista, you must man both the brew and build stations to craft custom coffee drinks and delicious cannoli pastries – all while a crew films you for a documentary about Papa’s cafe (no pressure).

Papa’s Cluckeria To Go! (2022)

Platforms: iOS, Android

The sixteenth entry in the restaurant management series and the second mobile-only game, Papa’s Cluckeria To Go! is a love letter to that fast food classic, the chicken sandwich. After Papa Louie opens his chicken sandwich restaurant in Oilseed Springs, rival chefs appear to wage war on Papa’s Cluckeria. It’s on you to man the fry station to craft savory chicken sandwiches that put the competition to shame, along with the new slush station so your customers have something to wash those sandwiches down.

The latest entry in the series and the first exclusively for Windows, Papa’s Freezeria Deluxe brings the franchise back to the theme of frozen treats. This time, the player must manage an oceanfront ice cream shop on Calypso Island, which becomes swamped with Papa Louie’s customers. They’re all demanding ice cream treats, of course. It’s up to you to whip up artisan sundaes at the mix station to help your patrons beat the heat. Freezeria Deluxe also introduces the Food Truck, a new free-play mode where players can send out their custom driver to make sundaes on the go.

More than a decade after their inception, the Papa’s games continue to offer a diverse array of restaurant management experiences and platforming spin-offs. From pizza to sushi, this series celebrates culinary creativity while challenging players with its unique mechanics, and you can be sure that even more titles will be forthcoming. But until then, you have a ton of previous Papa’s games to explore. You’d better get cooking!
