Grannies Cookbook is a mod for The Sims 4 created by Littlbowbub. This mod is a small quality-of-life addition to any Sims 4 household, allowing players to add a modded cookbook to their home. With the Grannies Cookbook mod, Sims can learn many new recipes as they learn to cook. The mod adds a cookbook to every player’s home. This allows the Sims to reference the cookbook to pull off some truly extraordinary meals from comfort foods to Thanksgiving dinners.
Grannies Cookbook requires Sims to interact with the cookbook placed in their house. From there, the recipes are broken up into multiple categories:
- Snacks
- Hot Drinks – A tea and coffee machine is required for some of these recipes
- Cold Drinks
- Toddler Food – The property must have a highchair present for these recipes
- Breakfast
- Meals
- Dessert
- BBQ – The property must have a grill present for these recipes
The Grannies Cookbook mod has a few nice features in addition to teaching Sims how to make countless delicious dishes. Grannies Cookbook comes in a variety of styles, so players don’t have to compromise their design choices. Every player will be able to find a cookbook that matches their aesthetic. The cookbook is also portable! Sims can put the cookbook in their inventory and take it with them, so they can cook outside of their home. The Grannies Cookbook mod won’t override or interfere with The Sims 4 appliances, so players can still use the game’s base cooking methods and other Sims 4 mods. All the Sim has to do is choose the recipe they want to make, and they’re golden.

How to Download & Use Grannies Cookbook in The Sims 4
In order to download Grannies Cookbook, modders will need to install CurseForge first. Once they have CurseForge, all the modder needs to do is go to the Grannies Cookbook page on CurseForge. From there, modders need to download the Grannies Cookbook mod. Once the player has CurseForge installed and Grannies Cookbook downloaded properly, they’ll be able to purchase the cookbook in-game.
Open The Sims 4 and open the Build mode. From there, players will find Grannies Cookbook in the “small appliances” section. If the player struggles to spot it, they can search “LBB” or “Cookbook”. If they installed the Grannies Cookbook mod properly, it should show up there. It will cost 45 Simoleons.
Players can also visit Littlbowbub’s Patreon for an alternate way to download their content. Littlbowbub continues to update their Sims 4 mods regularly. They add new recipes to Grannies Cookbook all the time. Grannies Recipe Tin is an expansion of the Cookbook, which adds dozens of new recipes including Voodoo Cookies, Bunny Day Chocolate Hamper, French Onion Soup, Shrimp Gnocchi, and much more. The Recipe Tin was last updated on April 8, 2023.
In order to use the Recipe Tin, players will need to download the Grannies Cookbook mod. From there, they can download individual recipe files, unzip the files, and add them to their mods folder.
