Borderlands Selling Well; Regional Shortages Reported

Borderlands Selling Well; Regional Shortages Reported

None

If you haven’t already heard, Borderlands is a sweet game that’s worth your attention. Don’t believe it? Read our review by clicking HERE .

Apparently, word of mouth is spreading and copies are flying off store shelves. In fact, regional shortages have been reported on both coasts. The worst deficiencies are found on the East Coast, where Xbox 360 SKUs are virtually nonexistent.

Fortunately, 2K Games is ramping up supply to meet demand, so yanks in the Northeast will be able to get their wasteland wasting on by Thursday or Friday.

Here’s what Gearbox VP of Marketing Steve Gibson told IGN:

“Yes, Borderlands copies of the Xbox 360 SKU have run out in a few regions, especially the east coast. We are aware of this and are working with production and distribution at ramping up to catch up with demand.” He continued, “There will be more copies of Borderlands available on shelves as early as Thursday or Friday at many retailers. The PlayStation 3 SKU issues on the west coast are mostly regional and can be addressed by reallocation. We are confident that will happen quickly.”
