Or, better yet, right now! Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2 is a fighting game first released in 1993, on the Super Nintendo. Developed by Tose and published by Bandi. It is a 2D fighting game where players get to duke it out as various Dragon Ball characters during the Android and Cell Saga arcs (and from the movies). One of the earliest games to use special moves (such as the world-famous Kamehameha), this hypersonic fighting game was met with critical acclaim. Topping many video game magazines and charts in the process.
Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2 Premise
While this game follows the Android and Cell sagas of Dragon Ball, it does, however, differ in a few key areas. To begin, while you can follow the plot if you so choose, and thus, follow the manga/anime’s plot, it is also possible to branch off into an entirely new story by making key decisions, such as winning or losing fights the characters had.
Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2 Main Characters
“And I Won’t Watch This Anymore!” – Son Gohan, about to turn Super Saiyan 2. This collection of characters is missing a few mainstays like Son Goku, but make no mistake, there’s still plenty of Ki energy to throw around.
- Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. The one who was meant to replace Goku. Here, the child named Son Gohan has grown into the warrior he was always meant to be.
- Perfect Cell. Probably the second most famous Dragon Ball villain after Frieza.
- Super Saiyan Vegeta. The man who’s so angry, he can become super saiyan.
- Cell Jr. An…offspring, of Cell, to fight the Z fighters.
- Super Saiyan Future Trunks. The one who managed to increase the female fanbase by a number!
- Zangya. Bojack’s female minion. Probably not as nice as she appears.
- Piccolo. The green man with the plan.
- Bojack (Full Power). A space pirate who appears in a non-canon movie! Good to see him here!

Unlock and decipher the code for the secret characters
During story-mode choose any of the four characters and set the difficulty to level 3 or higher.
Now, go through the story without losing and you’ll be challenged by Broly after beating Bojack.
Once you win, you’ll then get a secret ending screen with a number followed by two letters.
Each of the four playable characters get their own unique combination. The number points to where the two letters that follows it fit into the full secret password. Once you’ve aquired all of the ending passwords and combined them, input the completed sequence while Gohan is flying to the lookout to unlock the two secret fighters.
