The countdown clock is a very common hype-building tool used to get customers excited about an impending release. Apparently, Bungie, the makers of Halo, are jumping on the countdown bandwagon. Bungie has recently created another company called Podophobia Entertainment. Not a lot is currently known about the Podophobia besides the fact that Brent Abrahamsen, a top Bungie Employee, is the registered agent when you search for the company on government websites. Recently, Podophobia created a website containing nothing more than a 117-day countdown clock. The end date, mysteriously enough, is the 10 year anniversary of the original Halo. So our guess is that the Halo series isn’t as “over” as we thought. Bungie doesn’t have anything involving Halo planned for reveal at this year’s E3, and Podophobia doesn’t have anything scheduled for E3 at all. What can this mysterious countdown reveal be? We can’t know yet; all we can do is watch the numbers to slowly tick down… |
