Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Gets First Multiplayer Teaser

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Gets First Multiplayer Teaser

None

Treyarch has shown off the first multiplayer footage of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the soon-to-be ninth installment in the blockbuster FPS series, through a new trailer released today.

Showcased features appear to include a new multi-team game mode, possibly multi-team deathmatch, penetrating bullets, new weapons and gizmos such as timed explosives, thermal sensors, deployable shields and what looks to be a bolt-action sniper rifle, and some form of shoutcasting, where a live commentator is calling the action of a particular match.

On the whole, it doesn’t appear as if Black Ops 2 will be reinventing the wheel here so much as tinkering with it enough to make it seem just fresh enough again. We’ll almost assuredly be getting more info on the mode in the near future, so we’ll update when the time comes.

Black Ops 2 is currently scheduled to launch for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on November 13.
