Call Of Duty Gets Its Own Convention

Call Of Duty Gets Its Own Convention

None

Gaming conventions are nothing new. BlizzCon, for example, has been going on for a few years now, and there are plenty of conventions based around series like Final Fantasy and Pokemon. However, is the Call of Duty series big enough for its own convention?

Apparently, we’re about to find out. Activision has announced plans for “Call of Duty XP,” a two-day convention with events and tournaments based around the various incarnations of the Call of Duty series.

So what can fans expect to see at this convention? Panels, keynote speeches, developer Q and A sessions are all on the schedule, and, of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to play as well. A portion of the proceeds from the event are going to charity, so you don’t have to feel too bad about spending your hard-earned cash on the event. Though there aren’t a lot of specifics available yet, we do know that the first Call of Duty XP will be held in Los Angeles and will run September 2-3.
