Capcom: Remember Me Has “A Long-Term Future”

Capcom has said that it intends to work on its newly-announced IP Remember Me “for a long time to come.”

Speaking to MCV, Capcom’s U.S. and Europe head of marketing Michael Pattison said that the publisher intends on having a “long-term relationship” with Remember Me developer Dontnod, hinting that the game could be just the beginning of a franchise that extends into the next generation of consoles.

“It is something that we see as having a long-term future, and we are investing in accordingly,” Pattison said.

The reveal of the Remember Me was perhaps the most welcome surprise of this past week’s Gamescom convention. The third-person action-adventure title puts players in the shoes of Nilin, a “memory hunter” in the futuristic police state of Neo-Paris.

Remember Me is currently scheduled to launch in May 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
