CD Projekt Bewitching OS X As GOG Expands

CD Projekt Bewitching OS X As GOG Expands

CD Projekt has quickly grown to become one of my favorite developers in the world. The Polish game maker has not only produced the stunningly adult and visually gorgeous The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, but has also established a DRM-free haven for PC classics, allowing me to play many of my favorite older games once more with far fewer compatibility woes than I would have experienced before. They also carry newer stuff, now, but it’s all blessedly DRM-free.

They have a few announcements to make. In a presentation slated to be streamed live from GOG.com on October 18, CD Projekt aims to finally name its upcoming Cyberpunk -based RPG (as well as reveal some other tidbits about the game). This same broadcast will have announcements for Mac OS X users, including information on the upcoming port of The Witcher 2. Further, GOG.com will be bringing its catalogue to a new operating system (Mac? Linux? What could it be?).

CD Projekt promises that this is only a taste of what they’ll be discussing during the event, promising prizes and info on various new releases (there’s also talk of something special for The Witcher 2’s modding community). The broadcast will be viewable both on GOG.com and on The Witcher’s Facebook page at 2:00 PM EDT on October 18.
