Daily Bonuses Are Headed to Pokemon Go

Daily Bonuses Are Headed to Pokemon Go

In what some may see as a desperate attempt to retain players, Niantic has announced another Pokemon Go update. No, we’re not getting trainer battles. No, we’re not getting the ability to trade. No, we aren’t getting a tracker. Hey. Wait. Where are you going? You haven’t heard what we’re getting yet! It’s login bonuses!

People who come to Pokemon Go every day and perform certain actions in the app will receive different bonuses. Four such bonuses have been announced. If you catch a Pokemon every day, you’ll get 500 XP and 600 Stardust for that first catch, and catching one a day for a week will give you 2,000 XP and 2,400 Stardust. Visiting a PokeStop every day gives you 500 XP and some extra items, while visiting one PokeStop every day for a week will give you 2,000 XP and even more items. Seems like pretty standard rewards.

The only way I’d really bother participating is if those extra PokeStop items are ones you normally have to pay coins for. If Pokemon Go started giving me incense, incubators, and lures for playing every day, I’d be interested.
