Dangers of the 3DS

None

The 3DS launch is imminent in Japan, and while the rest of the world waits for official release dates, Nintendo is preparing the Japanese general public for the system’s launch by releasing some important safety information about the console. Of course, the same warnings about playing for short spans of time and then walking around are present, but a curious new warning has been added regarding the use of the 3D effects by children.

Because the eyes are still developing in children under age six, viewing 3D images for a prolonged amount of time can have unintended effects on both the eyes and the brain, especially since viewing 3D images causes your eyes to move in separate ways (since you are viewing two separate images when you watch 3D).
