Do Video Games Rot Your Brain?

Do Video Games Rot Your Brain?

None

Douglas Gentile is on the verge of publishing a study that links video games to mental health problems in children. The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has issued a warning that claims the study is “flawed.” Gentile has been accused in the past of exaggerating test results to emphasize the harmful effects video games can have.

Gentile said about ESA’s accusations: “Although the ESA claim that this study is flawed, they give no credible evidence of significant flaws.” He went on to explain that his methods were scientific and credible.

Are Gentile’s claims valid, or are they just another rehashed version of the old “Video games rot your brain” scare? Time will tell.
