The Nintendo 3DS will be available February in Japan and March in the United States and Europe. Anyone waiting to purchase one has probably heard the warning that the 3D mode can hurt the eyes of children under six. Apparently, this may be a bit of a stretch. The American Optometric Association has claimed that viewing 3D images in moderation won’t harm children whose eyes are developing properly. Of course, the key words are “in moderation.” But in this age of rampant lawsuits, Nintendo cannot be too careful with the safety of its customers. |
