New Study Says An Hour of Video Game Play a Day May Be Good for Kids

A new study shows that an hour of video games a day may actually help child development. Published in the journal Pediatrics, the study showed that children who played games for around an hour a day ended up being better adjusted overall. They had fewer conduct problems and were more empathetic than kids who did not.

However, these effects start to diminish with excessive gameplay. When kids played from one to three hours per day, saw few positive effects. Children who played even more than that had issues with hyperactivity and inattention, had problems showing compassion, and generally felt less satisfied with their life experiences.

Once again, more evidence that everything is good… in moderation.
