Bandai Namco has announced the release date for the upcoming action RPG, Dark Souls III . Like other games in the franchise, Dark Souls III will take players to an apocalyptic land full of secrets, hardcore challenges, and a dark lore to uncover. In addition to the regular version of the game, which players will be able to pick up on April 12, 2016 for the Xbox One, PC via Steam, and the PlayStation 4, a collector’s edition will also be made available.
Priced at $129.99, this version of the game will include an art book, a guide, a cloth game map, a collector’s box and a 10″ Red Knight Statue.
For players who want some exclusive content but find the collector’s edition to be set at too steep of a price, a Day One edition is going to be made available. This will be a free upgrade for players, and the publisher encourages gamers to pre-order to make sure that they will be able to get the upgrade while supplies last. This version of the game will include a starter guide, the soundtrack and exclusive O-Sleeve packaging.
These special editions of the game will be PlayStation 4 and Xbox One exclusive and will have a limited printing.
