Yet another crowdfunded game approaches its honest-to-goodness release. Torment: Tides of Numenera is the product of a successful Kickstarter campaign with the aim of making a spiritual successor to the critically-acclaimed Planescape: Torment. Developer inXile Entertainment has announced that this grim, futuristic RPG is set to release on February 28, 2017.
Two versions of the game will be available for purchase. The Day One edition includes a soundtrack CD, printed world map, steelbook case, digital Traveler’s Guide, and Mindforged Synthsteel Plating DLC. The Collector’s Edition, meanwhile, comes with all of the above plus an 80-page hardcover artbook, Tidal Talisman keychain, 8-inch statue of the First Castoff, and a physical map, all in a special box.
Both versions of Torment will release both physically and digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and of course, PC. Pre-orders for North America will be opening soon, though no price has been revealed yet.
