Not only will Darksiders II be coming to Wii U, but it will be available as a launch title. Lead designer Hayden Dalton said that the game will be available “Day one” when the console launches. It will also include exclusive Wii U content. For now, the only new thing that has been announced is a new control scheme that takes advantage of the Wii U’s interesting new tablet controller. “It’s basically the core game,” Dalton told Digital Spy, “but then with added abilities to do certain things that you can’t do on the other consoles… We’re not basically heavily changing the core game to support the control system, but the control system will be an enhancement of the core game.” Some of these possible abilities include changing your equipment and ability loadouts by using the tablet controller. In fact, all of the game’s menus could be controlled by the tablet without breaking game flow.
