DLC Already On Disc For Marvel vs. Capcom 3?

DLC Already On Disc For Marvel vs. Capcom 3?

None

Were you one of the many who found Marvel vs. Capcom’s roster to be a little light? Well, we have good news! There is one more character on the disc than originally thought! The only trouble? You’ll have to pay for her! That’s right, Jill Valentine, the “missing” Resident Evil character, is actually a character on the disc, but has been locked away in an “unfinished” state, and can only be accessed through some substitution hacking.

Ideally, a free patch will be released that will “unlock” Valentine for eager fans who plunked down $60 to get the game, but chances are that you’ll have to pay for a premium DLC character pack to get Jill out of her on-disc limbo status.

This situation is similar to the one Resident Evil 5 faced when it was found that the downloadable Versus add-on was nothing more than an unlock key for a feature that was already on the disc. It makes you wonder, exactly how many times do companies think they can do this to people? Will you be paying for a DLC character that is already on-disc?
