Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is a fighting game developed by Spike, released in 2006. The game is based on the Dragon Ball manga series and features characters battling against one another. It was originally a launch title for the Nintendo Wii and won Best Fighting Game of the Year by X-Play. However, critics and fans were let down by the controls of the game, which generated average reviews. While the game was easy for anyone to pick up and play, it was essentially impossible to master. Most of the fights would boil down to pressing one of two buttons in a spam match. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Premise
In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, players have the option of playing nine different game modes. Dragon Adventure has players traveling around Earth and Namek, battling opponents and collecting Dragon Balls. The unique aspect is that depending on the outcome of the fights, it would change the story. Ultimate Battle Z challenges the player to a gauntlet, where they must travel up a pillar of opponents. If you can beat every enemy on the pillar, you will be rewarded with items, high score, and more pillars.
Dragon Tournament is a tournament hosted by Cell. To win, players must battle each opponent without leaving the arena or touching the ground. After every opponent has been defeated, you will have to beat Perfect Cell to be crowned champion. Finally, Dragon Library shows a complete breakdown of every character, including their models, biography, and soundtrack.
Most players, however, will spend their time battling against their friends, family, or AI in large-scale fights. You can make a team with up to ten characters, swapping them as needed or when they get KO’d. These fights will help settle debates over who would beat who and make fantasies become a reality.
