The recent content update to Capcom’s 2012 RPG, Dragon’s Dogma, has been shown to corrupt player save files, to the extent that the developer has made an official warning. A post on Capcom Unity has stated that the DLC patches have rendered campaign files invalid, forcing players to delete said file and start anew.
In a hasty effort to prevent further issues while a permanent fix is completed, Capcom has advised players to play offline and make use of an external hard drive as a safeguard against potential corruption, “especially if you are picking up the game for the first time in a while or [are] switching over to Dark Arisen for the first time.”
Apparently, Capcom is unaware that the game just came out.
