E3 Isn’t Dead; IDG Resuscitates Los Angeles Trade Show

Recent changes to the Electronic Entertainment Expo have left many gamers wondering where they will be able to get their yearly fill of deafening noise, bright lights, and smelly crowds. Cast your worries away, dear gamers. The International Data Group (IDG), publishers of several tech magazines, and hundreds of trade show producers have banded together to bring you everything you had hoped for.

Game Pro Expo will be replacing the show formerly known as E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center from October 18-20, 2007. The show promises to be as big, bold, and beautiful as it’s predecessor. The groups are aiming to create a show that keeps the same size, scope, and impact as the former E3.

Although the ESA is the organization that decided to end E3, they are apparently still backing the show.
