EA Buckles Under Pressure

EA Buckles Under Pressure

None

Much has been made in recent weeks of Medal of Honor’s multiplayer functionality, which includes the ability to play as a member of the Taliban terrorist organization. However, due to increasing pressure from “friends and families of fallen soldiers,” Electronics Arts has decided to remove the Taliban moniker from the game. Players will now be members of “Opposing Forces” in the game, and no references to the terror organization will be left in.

>In an official statement, Greg Goodrich, the Executive Producer for Medal of Honor, said that while most of the feedback from soldiers has been “overwhelmingly positive,” the negative feedback from those closely affiliated with the military triggered the change in name. The statement went on to say that the change will not affect the game’s visuals, format, or assets in any way. The change is simply in displayed name. You can read the full text of the statement at the official Medal of Honor webpage here .
