A teaser trailer released over the weekend strongly suggests that the arcade snowboarding title SSX will be receiving a head-to-head online multiplayer mode in the near future. We say “strongly suggest” only because EA has refused to make an official statement on the matter thus far, but the 41-second clip seems to make things pretty clear. It depicts multiple players hopping out of a helicopter onto one of the game’s stages, and features a little leaderboard that displays the standings of various gamertags off to the side. The critically acclaimed reboot, released on PS3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year, currently only features asynchronous multiplayer, where boarders race against the ghosts of other players’ best times.
