EA let it be known that The Sims 3 is set to receive its first expansion, entitled World Adventures, on November 16, 2009. World Adventures, for the first time in The Sims franchise history, will be able to travel to various exotic and famous locales around the world in order to seek new adventures. By visiting these new locations, new abilities and enrichment will help mold their Sims in new and interesting ways. By purchasing the expansion, players will also be given a 1,000 SimPoints to spend in The Sims 3 Store. Apparently, the devs also have a few more exclusive online features that will be revealed at a later date.
