EA to Reveal Six New Games at E3 2014

As tweeted by Spike TV’s known videogame journalist and presenter Geoff Keighley, bigwig publisher Electronic Arts will be revealing six new games during its hour-long press conference at this year’s E3 on Monday, June 9.

According to a press statement from the publisher, there will be new projects and intellectual properties currently in developmen t” being revealed at the event. What these IPs will be is a matter of speculation.

The press conference itself, titled “EA World premiere: E3 2014 Preview”, is said to offer information on the publisher’s upcoming already-announced titles, such as the next Mirror’s Edge installment and BioWare’s Dragon Age: Inquisition . DICE’s Star Wars: Battlefront and Maxis’ The Sims 4 are also expected to be featured during the presentation.

According to Polygon, the press conference will take place at 3PM Eastern Time (minus four hours Greenwich Mean Time), and will be broadcasted live on on Spike TV’s E3 All Access program. It will also be livestreamed both on EA’s and Spike TV’s official websites, and of course on Twitch as well.

WhilE EA’s press conference will be taking place on June 9, the event doesn’t actually start until Tuesday, June 10, and it will last up until Thursday, June 12.

There’s a lot of anticipation for this year’s E3, and Microsoft’s newly-made head of Xbox Phil Spencer took to Twitter on Sunday, May 18 to answer some questions, a few of which were related to the event. As a result, he teased a few things that may be revealed during Microsoft’s own press conference at E3. He would also like to see real-time strategy games make a resurgence on consoles .

Deus Ex , the next Mass Effect game and Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are also rumored to be showcased during the event , according to industry insider Ahsan Rasheed.
