Epic Mickey Confirmed For Holiday 2012?

Epic Mickey Confirmed For Holiday 2012?

None

Just before the New Year, we reported on a rumor that claimed Disney’s Epic Mickey, the paint-dripping adventure game by Warren Spector, was going to be getting a sequel.

Well, now it’s more than just a rumor. DualShockers drummed up some evidence yesterday to confirm the game’s existence. An official Disney newsletter went out yesterday that confirmed the game will be released for the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 for the 2012 holiday season.

The game will be a two player co-op adventure affair, with one player controlling Mickey and another player playing as his friend Oswald the Rabbit. The two will have to work together to solve puzzles and progress through a once-again-twisted Disney universe. The game will be less linear than before, featuring multiple endings and several changing quests based on player choice and the game’s built-in morality system.

The newsletter apparently didn’t mention anything about a release for the Wii U, which is interesting considering the new console should be coming out next year. Perhaps Disney thinks that they can squeeze just a bit more life out of the most popular console of the current generation.
