Fallout 76 Beta Will Apparently Be on Xbox Ones First

Fallout 76 is a bit of an oddball in the Fallout series. It has online play, which means players will share their post-apocalyptic experience with others. It also has an upcoming public beta which, well, isn’t typical of Bethesda or the RPG genre. And, more importantly, that beta is going to be available on Xbox One before the other platforms; it isn’t clear why.

The B.E.T.A, which is an acronym for the Break-It Early Test Application, will be available to anyone who pre-orders the game. I suppose that aspect of all of this is pretty normal; pre-orders are usually the way to gain beta access, and the acronym itself is very on brand for the franchise.

At this point, we don’t know when the Fallout 76 beta will come out or how long the Xbox One access will remain exclusive. It’s safe to imagine that the beta will occur in the near future, though, because the game itself is right around the corner. It will be out on November 14, 2018 for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
