Fallout Shelter Now on PC, Bethesda Launcher Required

Fallout Shelter is no Pokemon Go , but it is a really fun mobile game that Fallout fans (or even sim fans in general) should check out. Imagine Prison Architect meets Game Dev Story meets Fallout , and you have a general idea of what Fallout Shelter is like. In the game it’s up to you to build a the perfect vault for all of your vault dwellers. You’ll keep your inhabitants safe and happy, and equip them to go out into the wasteland on all kinds of adventures. Bethesda has been promising the game on PC for some time, and it’s finally here.

There is one catch, though. You’ll notice if you head over to Steam, or even the Microsoft Games Store, there’s no sign of Fallout Shelter anywhere. That’s because you’re required to download Bethesda’s proprietary launcher in order to download and play it. It’s a bit of a bummer, and I hate that I’ll have to download yet another publisher client (along with Uplay and the Epic Games Launcher) just to play what is basically a fancy flash game. That was mean – Fallout Shelter is more than a fancy flash game, but seriously, WTF Bethesda? At any rate, you can find the launcher here .
