Fighting Games Encounter Delays

Fighting Games Encounter Delays

None

There’s some bad news for fighting game fans: Two highly anticipated fighting game releases have been delayed.

First up, we have King of Fighters XIII, which was originally slated to come out toward the end of the summer. According to SNK and Atlus, the game will now come out November 22 on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 at a fifty dollar price tag. Why the delay? Well, Atlus said that they are completely revamping the game’s online mode to give a smoother play experience. Surely there will be other new features added as well.

Secondly, we have Skullgirls, the fighting game made for fighting game fans by fighting game fans. Originally the game was scheduled to come out sometime in 2011, but the scope of the project has gotten so big at this point it’s not surprising that it had been delayed until 2012. Still, the delay comes with the announcement of many new features, including a custom soundtrack option on PS3, a ten-percent speed increase, 3D backgrounds, in-game art galleries, and button macros. I’m pretty sure it will be worth the wait.
