Follow-Up To 999 Coming To 3DS And Vita

None

Fans of the pocket mystery genre, if there is such a thing, will be happy to hear that Chunsoft has announced a follow-up to 2010’s popular 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. (It would probably be more apt to call 999 a “visual novel”, but “pocket mystery” sounds cooler.)

This new game should look and feel a lot like 999, as Kotaro Uchikoshi is again handling the script and direction with art provided by Kinu Nishimura. It doesn’t have an English title quite yet, but the Japanese release is called “Gyokugen Dasshutsu Adv: Zennin Shiboudes.” Roughly translated, this means “Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die”, which follows the naming scheme of 999 – also titled “Extreme Escape Adventure” in Japan.

However, while 999 was only available for Nintendo DS, Good People Die will be found on the 3DS and PS Vita. The Vita version will include touch panel and gyro sensor support, and single or multiplayer modes.

There’s no word on a release data as of yet, but I, for one, am looking forward to finding my way out of whatever creepy, mysterious situation the game throws at me.
