It used to be that budget titles were $20 or $30, but in a world in which most new console games retail at $60, the new bargain price appears to be $40. Solidifying this belief is Frank West, whose newest adventure—a what-if retelling of the events of Dead Rising 2 placing him in the spotlight, instead of Chuck Greene—will launch at that twenty-dollar-mark-down. For Capcom, this is par for the course. Last year’s update to the Street Fighter franchise, Super Street Fighter IV, also hit retail at the $40 price-point, and retail editions that include the game’s forthcoming Arcade Edition update will cost the same.  Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will include a story mode centered around Frank West and his camera, new weapons and weapon combinations, new areas, and will be released this fall at $39.99 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. |
