GamePop Lets You Play iOS Games On Your TV

BlueStacks has announced that their new Android-based Microconsole, called GamePop, will also allow you to play iOS games on your TV. The iOS apps will be powered by a new technology called Looking Glass , which allows them to be translated for play on TVs.

“There will always be popular titles that are iOS-only, like Clash of Clans,” said BlueStacks CTO Suman Saraf. “Looking Glass enables these titles to be brought into the living room. Some of the retina iPad games for example look spectacular on TV.”

GamePop will cost $129 and is set for launch later this winter. The console will operate off a monthly fee of $6.99 per month which will give users access to a library of over 500 games.

Mobile devices are very quickly catching up to handheld devices, and in the future they may even catch up to consoles. Who knows? Some day we may play all of our AAA titles via our iPhone, even if we are still playing them on the TV
