Gamestop Changing Their Trade In Program

Gamestop Changing Their Trade In Program

Gamestop is looking to make their game trade-in program a lot simpler. Not only that, but they are hoping to offer more money for traded in games as well. The new program will start on August 18 th . Trade in prices will be normalized, and gamers will no longer have to put the money toward a preorder or promotion to get maximum value. In store credit for games will continue to produce higher trade in values than cash payouts.

“GameStop made the decision to simplify the trade-in pricing structure that is part of our buy-sell-trade program based on positive feedback we have received from customers and store managers,” GameStop pre-owned business executive Jason Cochran. “We anticipate this change to be well-received by our customers as they experience the added value we are now offering them for their pre-owned video game and consumer electronic products.”
