GameStop Streamlines Digital Distribution Services, Discounts on Offer

As reported by Polygon on Monday, May 19, videogame retailer GameStop has streamlined its digital distribution service for PC titles, making it easier for US consumers to buy and download PC games in GameStop stores or via the retailer’s online store.

Until now, our digital download process had multiple steps, ” said GameStop’s director of merchandising Alan Walters in a press release. ” After receiving customer feedback over the past year, we’ve made improvements to simplify our digital PC game purchase and download process. Our enhancements simplify the process and offer customers a streamlined experience.

According to Polygon, GameStop will be celebrating the launch of its revamped distribution service with various offers and discounts. From now until Monday, June 2, titles from Electronic Arts, Activision, 2K Games, Capcom and Square Enix will receive discounts of up to 85 percent.

Additionally, the retailer will also be offering a 30 percent bonus for all digital PC product trade-ins, including Steam Wallet cards and Origin cards. What’s more, PowerUp Rewards Pro members will be able to take advantage of an additional 40 percent in-store credit for trade-ins of any games and/or accessories towards the purchase of either full-game downloads, Steam Wallet cards or Origin cards.
