Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Multiplayer Beta Coming

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Multiplayer Beta Coming

None

Even though Ubisoft is planning to release Ghost Recon: Future Soldier at the end of May, the developer is planning to squeeze in a multiplayer beta before it goes gold. And, as interesting as this sounds, I can’t decide if Ghost Recon fans should be excited or worried.

On one hand, they’ll have a chance to get their hands on the game ahead of schedule. On the other, there’s a really good chance that it’s going to be rolled out late if the beta testers find any relatively large bugs.

Either way, that’s Ubisoft’s plan at the moment, and you probably want to know how to get your grubby little mitts on a beta key, don’t you? If you have an Xbox 360 and you own a copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction, you’ll be given access when the keys are handed out. Otherwise, 360 owners will have to pre-order a copy of Future Soldier from their nearest GameStop.

PS3 owners, on the other hand, need only to be a member of PlayStation Plus to get their hands on one of these coveted keys.

Ubisoft is planning to kick the beta into gear on April 19 and shut it down on May 2. So far, the only classes that will be available to beta testers are the Rifleman, Engineer, and Scout. And, for the first week only the objective-based Conflict mode will be playable. However, on April 26, a mode called Saboteur will be added. This mode sees teems of players searching for a single bomb and attempting to set it off in the enemy base.

Either way, it’s probably time to start saving your allowance. You’re going to need it at the end of May anyway.
