God Of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition Outed

God Of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition Outed

None

A brand new collector’s edition bundle for the upcoming God of War: Ascension has recently appeared on Amazon.com. The collector’s edition includes an eight-inch statue of Kratos, a premium Steelbook case, the official game soundtrack (in digital download form), a dynamic PS3 theme, a PSN avatar pack, an unlock for double XP in multiplayer, and a season pass for all future DLC content.

Though the Collector’s Edition itself is pretty run of the mill (I’m running out of space to keep all these action figures), what’s included does say some interesting things about the game itself.

First of all, the season pass pretty much confirms that the game will have DLC of a sort. In fact, the team is probably designing it as we speak. Secondly, the XP in multiplayer reveals that the game will most likely have the ability to hold events (like Double XP weekends). In fact, the very existence of XP means that we will probably see some sort of Call of Duty level-up system. Whether or not we will be able to unlock the exact weapons and armor we like, or if they will unlock sequentially, is yet to be seen.
