If you don’t know the name Todd Papy… well, you should. He was the director behind God of War III and God of War Ascension. Unfortunately, Papy has recently left Sony Santa Monica, the studio responsible for God of War, for greener pastures. “Yesterday was my last day @SonySantaMonica. I’m extremely honored to have been part of that team. <3 you SSM!,” he said in a tweet. “Time for the next adventure!!”
The split between Papy and the company seems to be amicable. Papy praised Sony and the new talent that has been brought on over the past few years in a few more parting tweets. According to Papy himself, the God of War franchise is in good hands .
But what will Papy be up to. Well, according to the man himself, he has decided to move to Germany to “experience a different culture & all the wonderful things that Europe has to offer.” He made it clear that he hasn’t quit games or the gaming industry however. So the big question now is, where will Papy be moving too. Wouldn’t it be interesting if he ended up at Deep Silver or some other prominent German developer?
