God Of War’s Single-Player Ascends

God Of War’s Single-Player Ascends

None

With the grand reveal, yesterday, of God of War: Ascension’s unique multiplayer mode , some fans expressed their fears that the game’s single-player component would either disappear or fall by the wayside. These concerns, though, have since been addressed by the game’s director, Todd Papy, who took to Twitter to assuage fears with the statement that, “SP = Bread and Butter. MP = Team wanting to be creative and try something new.”

Further tweets reveal that the game’s length, while shorter than God of War 3, should be similar to that of the original God of War. He also assures fans that the game will take place over varied locations, not entirely locking players into a single one for the duration, so variety shouldn’t be a concern. He offers a number of “no comment”-style responses to questions about DLC, implying that the team is as-of-yet undecided on their approach to it.

For those who were concerned about the game’s single-player component, though, Papy’s Twitter should offer at least some degree of reassurance.
