Google Nukes Google Shoot View

Google Nukes Google Shoot View

None

Google Shoot View , an entertaining albeit slightly terrifying application that was created by a Dutch advertising agency, was nuked by Google today.

The game essentially just overlaid an FPS-style interface on top of Google’s Street View technology. This allowed would-be assassins to practice shooting guns at my house while they prepare for the perfect moment.

However, Google put the kibosh on the whole thing, citing Terms of Service violations as their primary reasoning. Erwin Kleinjan, who works at the Dutch agency, said that Google “pulled their right to use the Street View application protocol interface—the permission software that allows third parties to incorporate Street View into their own products—due to a violation of the terms of service.”
