According to industry sources close to The Inquirer, Google may have plans to purchase Valve. This does make some sense, as Valve is not only a AAA game developer, but it also will give Google access to Valve’s Steam digital content distribution platform. Besides, “Valve marketing boss Doug Lombardi said in an interview in August that he would be ‘happy to discuss an acquisition’ with potential buyers.”
