Gotham City Impostors DLC Accidentally Launches Early

None

If you played the PS3 version of Gotham City Impostors recently, you may have noticed some unexpected additional content. Yes, a brand new free update was scheduled to release after the upcoming Rodeo Pirate Pack, but not as early as last week, when it was first spotted by PS3 users. According to the Gotham City Imposters design team, this early release caught them off guard as well.

But, since the PS3 update launched last week, the team has decided to push up the Xbox 360 release to this week. Tomorrow, May 16th, the update should be available for free for all Xbox 360 users. A PC release date has not yet been decided.

The free content update includes a brand new map based on Batman: Arkham Asylum which takes place, appropriately enough, in Arkham Asylum. The map has both indoor and outdoor areas, though even the outdoor areas are rather claustrophobic, placing players in the spaces between buildings and in cramped parking lots. It looks like it will be a lot of fun for anyone who enjoys close-range combat.

The Gotham City Impostors team apologizes for the mix-up, but hey, any mix-up that gives users free content is fine by me.
