Gotham City Impostors Gets A Release Date

Gotham City Impostors Gets A Release Date

None

Gotham City Impostors, the game where you play as a bunch of crazy whack jobs who dress up as Batman or the Joker, finally has a release date. We will see it hitting store shelves January 10th, 2012, right after our big Christmas spending spree.

That being said, you might actually be able to play the game far earlier than that, as a beta is scheduled to begin sometime in December.

Now, I’m would guess this game is just riding the hype from the Batman: Arkham City success, but it actually doesn’t look half bad. Here’s an official description from the Gotham City Impostors team.

Gotham City Impostors is an original download-only first-person shooter where up to 12 players battle for control of an unhinged Gotham City overrun by Impostors inspired by the DC Comics characters Batman and The Joker. Gotham City Impostors is an online multiplayer game unlike any other, giving players the opportunity to engage in unconventional urbane warfare as they personalize their own Impostors.

I suppose it shouldn’t come as a surprise that someone came up with a way to turn the Batman franchise into a first-person shooter.
