Reuters news service reports that Gran Turismo 5, the Sony exclusive, hyper-realistic racing franchise has been delayed. The game was originally set for a March release in Japan, but it has now been pushed out of Sony’s fiscal 2009 (ending March 2010) due to “production-related matters”. While this is a major bummer for rabid Sony racing fans, Sony share prices were bolstered by the news some 2.8%. Likely due to the fact these profits will now post in fiscal 2010. However, a firm release date has not been announced by the electronics giant; the new TBA distinction causing gamers everywhere substantial heartache.
