Gran Turismo 5 To Get Big Update

Gran Turismo 5 To Get Big Update

None

Changes are coming for Gran Turismo 5, according to the PlayStation Blog, and they are all digital. First of all, the game will be getting a brand new free update that adds tons of new content. The game will introduce eleven new NASCAR vehicles from the 2011 racing system, will fix issues with long load times, will change the menu system to be more responsive and easier to access, and will tweak the A.I. in arcade mode. In addition, this update will allow players to save in the middle of a long race and return to that race later. This is especially useful for long races that can take hours at a time.

Also, the new update will include interior views for every car. Currently, only a few cars can be driven from the cockpit, and this came as an annoyance to several GT fans. But soon all the cars have interior graphics. Unfortunately, the team says that many of these new interior views will not look as good as the HD models included with the cars that had the option available at launch, but it’s better than nothing.

And that’s not all. The new update will also include the ability to adjust weather conditions, customizable driver avatars for photo mode, add-ons for shuffle race mode, more customization options for online races, frequent player bonuses, and support for more types of racing wheels.

The update is due to hit October 11. The PlayStation Blog has also hinted that there would be some paid DLC in the near future as well, but we have no details on this yet.
