As reported by Joystiq, the original Halo: Combat Evolved will be getting a next-gen makeover this fall. Developer Saber Interactive, responsible for TimeShift and the upcoming Inversion, will allegedly be at the helm. This particular remake won’t just be a cosmetic one, though, as its art assets are being remade entirely.  It’s expected to support 1080p resolution as well as 3D. You can expect multiplayer to be a big part of this, though at the moment no details regarding exact plans have been revealed. 343 Industries is currently overseeing two Halo games, this being one of them.
