Halo: Reach Modes Exposed at Comic-Con

Halo: Reach Modes Exposed at Comic-Con

None

Today, Microsoft and Bungie announced a couple new multiplayer features for their upcoming juggernaut release Halo: Reach. One of the features is a new online multiplayer mode called Versus Firefight. This mode is essentially the Firefight mode found in Halo 3: ODST, however, both sides of the battles will be controlled by human players. Those playing as the Elites will also have A.I. controlled support from the Covenant as well.

The other announcement involved an upgraded version of the Forge found in Halo 3. Forge World, as it is being called, will have updated tools, allow 8 online players (4 splitscreen) to build maps together, and give players access to a massive area in which to create maps. This area is supposedly so large that players will be able to make several maps within it. To help showcase the possibilities of what can be made using Forge World, Bungie will also be releasing six maps created with the new tools that will be added to the game’s official rotation of multiplayer maps.
