According to the NPD records, November 2010 may have been the best month on record for retail sales. November is usually a big month, given a boost by Black Friday sales, but this year has set sales records. The NPD says that this year saw the “best November on record in terms of new physical retail sales.”  Sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops was largely responsible, with the biggest first month of any other game ever, selling 8.4 million copies. Microsoft also reports that, partly due to sales of Kinect, November was the best month in sales for Xbox ever. Microsoft was able to sell 1.37 million consoles during the busy month. |
