Hyrule Warriors Will Not Have Online Play

As reported by Game Informer on Friday, August 1, one of the upcoming additions to the Legend of Zelda franchise, Hyrule Warriors , has been confirmed to not feature online play.

This revelation was made clear via the official Japanese Twitter account of the game. According to the tweet (which was translated), Hyrule Warriors will not feature online support. The game’s offline play will be with two players; one playing via Wii U’s GamePad and one playing via the TV.

We’ve established Hyrule Warrior’s current roster of characters that’ll feature in the game, which includes Link, Impa, Zelda, Midna, Agitha, Zant, Luna and Fi.

Hyrule Warriors is slated to release first in Japan on thursday, August 14 for the Wii U. European, Australian and North American releases follow up a month later on Friday, September 19, Saturday, September 20 and Friday, September 26 respectively–also for the Wii U.
